Abstract Upconversion emissions from lanthanide ions have unparalleled advantages in the field of temperature sensing and information encryption. Despite extensive research on probes, developing highly sensitive measurement applications still poses a significant challenge. This study utilizes doped BaTiO₃ as foundational material to develop fiber optic probe with enhanced sensitivity. The optical temperature‐sensing capabilities are assessed based intensity ratio various energy levels BaTiO₃: Yb/Tm/Er phosphors. Notably, non‐thermal coupling level between Tm Er demonstrates highest sensitivity, achieving maximum relative sensitivity 2.70% K⁻¹ at 303 K. By leveraging temperature‐dependent color change material, large‐capacity photonic barcode for storage encrypted transmission is developed, thereby expanding potential monitoring.

Abstract Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) are highly regarded for their outstanding photovoltaic characteristics, including excellent color purity, stability, high photoluminescence yield (PLQY), narrow emission spectra, and ease of solution processing. Despite significant progress in dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) technology since its inception 1994, blue QLEDs still fall short efficiency lifespan compared to red green versions. The toxicity concerns associated with Cd/Pb-based (QDs) have spurred the development heavy-metal-free alternatives, such as group Ⅱ−Ⅵ (e.g., ZnSe-based QDs), Ⅲ−Ⅴ InP, GaN carbon (CDs). In this review, we discuss key properties history (QDs), various synthesis approaches, role surface ligands, important considerations developing core/shell (C/S) structured QDs. Additionally, provide an outlook on challenges future directions QLEDs.

Abstract Phosphors with multifunctional applications have attracted extensive research, especially in thermometer and anti‐counterfeiting fields. Herein, a series of Pr 3+ ‐doped YNbO 4 (YNO) phosphors adjustable photoluminescence red persistent luminescence (PersL) performances are developed. YNO host exhibits the blue self‐activated luminescence, different emission peaks possess various thermal stability properties due to quenching channel generated by intervalence charge transfer state between Nb 5+ ions. Two kinds fluorescence intensity ratio models high absolute relative sensitivities realized measure temperature under dual‐wavelength excitation. Moreover, YNO:Pr PersL duration about 120 s upon ceasing UV excitation light source. The fabricated ‐polydimethylsiloxane films display patterns passage time after turning off light, which can cleverly achieve dynamic conversion. These results demonstrate that phosphor has potential excited thermometry
