The present work reports the fabrication of a durable superhydrophobic coating based on silica Janus particles. One side particles was modified by (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane to have reactive alkylamine group, and other treated with octadecyltrimethoxysilane be hydrophobic. These were held together binder molecules that reacted amines attached adhered different substrates, forming coatings. water contact angles coatings higher than 158°, whereas their sliding as low 2°. Their hydrophobicity preserved even after 200 cycles intensive abrasion or 60 days immersion in 3.5% NaCl solution, evidencing resistance corrosion. most remarkable property presented particle-based is it can strongly adhere multiple substrates such active metal aluminum, flat substrate glass, biological material wood, organic polymer surface energy polyperfluoroethylene. Moreover, hydrophobicity, antiwear resistance, corrosion inhibition ability fabricated independent substrates. This superiority enables this cover many properties fulfill variety technical demands.
