The operating principle of a fuel cell is attracting increasing attention in the development self-powered electrochemical sensors (SPESs). In this type sensor, chemical energy analyzed substance converted into electrical galvanic through spontaneous reactions, directly generating an analytical signal. Unlike conventional (amperometric, voltammetric, and impedimetric) sensors, no external form applied potential required for redox detection reactions to occur. SPESs therefore have several important advantages over sensors. They do not require power supply modulation system, which saves costs. devices also offer greater simplicity are more compatible applications wearable sensor as well vivo situ use. Due dual properties hydrogen peroxide, it possible develop membraneless cells fuel-cell-based peroxide SPESs, sample used only source energy, both oxidant reductant (fuel). This suppresses dependence on availability oxygen. Electrode catalyst materials different reaction pathways at cathode anode one-compartment key technology implementation characteristics SPESs. article provides overview designs H2O2-H2O2 H2O2 focusing biomimetic nanozyme catalysts, highlights recent innovations prospects hydrogen-peroxide-based (bio)electrochemical analysis.

Abstract Oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is a major health concern in high‐risk regions globally, with rising mortality rates indicating the urgent need for early detection tools. This study presents an innovative point‐of‐care (POC) diagnostic tool using disposable microelectrodes to detect cholic acid, crucial OSCC biomarker, human saliva. By combining poly(methacrylic acid‐co‐acrylamide) copolymer (CoP) polythiophene (PTh) nanofibers as selective coatings disposable, screen‐printed carbon electrodes (SPCE), developed CoP‐PTh/SPCE sensors demonstrate exceptional performance. Using impedance spectroscopy and voltammetric techniques, electrochemical oxidation of acid solution saliva samples investigated. The exhibit outstanding sensitivity 1.05 µA cm −2 n m −1 (74.2 µ ), limit (LOD) 0.240 , quantification (LOQ) 0.727 demonstrating their superior capabilities. Additionally, these remarkable selectivity against structurally similar compounds such cholesterol various salivary analytes. practical application realized through 97.67±1.08% recovery spiked concentrations samples. highlights potential reliable, efficient, non‐invasive POC testing, offering promising diagnosis poorly differentiated OSCC.
