Abstract Growing environmental and health concerns regarding the use of halogenated flame retardants have led to an increased interest in phosphorus‐based alternatives, which are recognized for their environmentally friendly properties. In this study, phosphorus‐functional monomers, obtained via phospho‐Michael addition DOPO unsaturated compounds such as maleic anhydride itaconic acid, were incorporated into polyester matrices impart intrinsic retardancy through covalent integration polymeric network. The influence terephthalic acid on thermal behavior these polyesters is also explored. A range analytical techniques employed inform including 1 H 31 P NMR spectroscopy, FTIR, viscosity evaluation, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP‐OES). Thermogravimetric analysis combination with evolved gas used assess stability both nitrogen air environments. Furthermore, microscale combustion calorimetry examine flammability characteristics. For cone tests, samples applied onto glass fibers evaluate flame‐retardant efficacy, smoke generation, overall fire safety performance.

With the rapid expansion of electronic information technology and rising material safety needs, creation composite materials that perform both electromagnetic microwave absorption (EMA) flame retardancy has arisen as a science research hotspot. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have great potential for developing novel multifunctional due to their unique structural characteristics customizable functions. This work presents comprehensive assessment most recent findings on MOF-based EMA-flame retardant dual-functional composites. The fundamental mechanisms EMA are covered, including dielectric loss, magnetic condensed-phase gas-phase mechanisms. development composites based Fe-MOF, Co-MOF, Ni-MOF, polymetallic MOF in terms is highlighted. These offer exceptional performance strong effects thanks designs component regulations. In addition, some infrared stealth, thermal insulation, hydrophobic, mechanical qualities. Ultimately, problems possibilities reviewed, giving valuable references new materials.
