Abstract
The
extracellular
matrix
(ECM)
plays
a
critical
role
in
cancer
progression
by
influencing
tumor
growth,
invasion,
and
metastasis.
This
review
explores
the
emerging
therapeutic
strategies
that
target
ECM
as
novel
approach
treatment.
By
disrupting
structural
biochemical
interactions
within
microenvironment,
ECM-targeted
therapies
aim
to
inhibit
overcome
resistance.
We
examine
current
state
of
research,
focusing
on
key
components
such
collagen,
laminin,
fibronectin,
periostin,
hyaluronic
acid,
their
roles
biology.
Additionally,
we
discuss
challenges
associated
with
therapies,
including
drug
delivery,
specificity,
potential
side
effects,
while
highlighting
recent
advancements
future
directions.
