Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have long been known as a class of one-dimensional carbon nanomaterials with sp2-hybridized structures that can be constructed very large length-to-diameter ratio, which is significantly larger than any other nanomaterials. It well CNTs exhibit many excellent properties in mechanics, electricity, chemistry, optics, etc., and are widely used various fields, thus attracting scientists' attention. In this context, the development new strategies for optimizing synthesizing has far-reaching significance demand. On hand, most metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) microporous crystals from ordered uniform metal ions/clusters organic linkers to obtain crystalline solids potential porosity. Using MOF materials precursors, hierarchical CNT-based composite materials, difficult synthesize through traditional catalyst-assisted chemical vapor deposition method, conveniently synthesized by thermal treatment at high temperature. process converting MOFs into CNTs, both catalysts sources, necessary growth they also templates and/or carriers additional catalysts. Therefore, there possibilities conversion materials. review, we mainly summarize two aspects synthetic MOF-derived Despite rapid area, still much space exploration. order accurately control synthesis should deeply explore mechanism CNTs.

Abstract Oxygen‐related electrocatalysis, including those used for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and evolution (OER), play a central role in green‐energy related technologies. Rational fabrication of effective electrocatalysts is crucial development energy devices, such as fuel cells rechargeable metal–air batteries. Recently, owing to their tunable compositions microstructures, metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) based materials have drawn extensive attention nonprecious electrocatalysts. Various strategies been developed fabricate MOF‐based regulate active sites, heterometal doping, defect engineering, morphology tuning, heterostructure construction, hybridization. In this review, by focusing on various modulation aiming at recent advances are summarized. The synthetic methods synthesize discussed, followed underlying engineering mechanisms required allow performance enhancement, finally some existing challenges that hinder practical applications discussed alongside perspective possible future.
