Abstract In this study, we show that doping lanthanides into lamellar crystals reorganizes the structure and dramatically changes crystal morphology. Azo-DA , a compound with azobenzene derivatives carboxylic acids at both ends of diacetylene moiety, formed plate-like crystals. The holmium (Ho), lanthanide, film obtained by stacking crystals, promoted dramatic change in morphology, resulting formation an Azo-DA/Ho radial structure. A detailed investigation growth process revealed which is slightly solution phase during Ho doping, acts as pseudonucleating agent morphology Additionally, morphological films significantly changed surface properties films, such their appearance water repellency. Similar were induced when other lanthanide elements used instead Ho, type dopant can affect magnetic films.

Abstract This review focuses on recent advancements regarding mechanoresponsive functions of diacetylene (DA) and polydiacetylene (PDA). Their ability to undergo pronounced topochemical polymerization chromatic behavior variations in response external stimuli has marked them as a promising platform for chemo- bio-sensing over the past few decades. Notably, major advances, showcasing selective highly sensitive mechanoresponses along with their quantitative analysis, have been achieved years. The categorization includes DAs undergoing pressure-controlled crystalline transitions polymerization, well PDAs exhibiting mechanochromic or mechanofluorochromic transitions. Accordingly, this covers molecular designs allowing mechanical activation nanostructured hybridized amplifying stimulus-optical feedback, nanoscopic analytical tools mechanochromism, potential applications mechanochemical sensing imaging.

During gelation, aggregates compatibility CO is oligoesters' hydrophobicity. allows fine time micro- nanostructure structure, where presence solid-like regions regulates rheological behaviour resistance. The upload capacity also depends on hydrophobicity, which favour chain relaxation over Fickian diffusion during swelling. When mechanical stresses, such as tensile, compressive, and frictional are applied to objects by various motions, they accumulated in materials. Conventional mechanoresponsive materials sensors detect one-time stress. However, the stresses not visualized or measured previous works. The present study demonstrated imaging sensing of only but also stresses. Polyurethane (PU) film was combined with 2D layered polydiacetylene (PDA), a stimuli-responsive color-changing polymer. PDA generally exhibits no color changes application tensile compression because molecular motion leading change is induced Here versatile mechanoresponsiveness achieved using block copolymer guest partially intercalated PDA. As interlayer outerlayer segments interact PU, respectively, transferred from PU via guest. imaged quantified work depending on number strength multiple design strategy methodology can be development new for wide range length scales.
