Neurodegenerative diseases are global health challenges characterized by the progressive degeneration of nerve cells, leading to cognitive and motor impairments. The brain-gut-bone axis, a complex network that modulates multiple physiological systems, has gained increasing attention owing its profound effects on occurrence development neurodegenerative diseases. No comprehensive review been conducted clarify triangular relationship involving axis potential for innovative therapies disorders. In light this, new perspective is aimed propose interplay between brain, gut, bone highlighting their dynamic communication in diseases, as they modulate including nervous, immune, endocrine, metabolic systems. Therapeutic strategies maintaining balance brain regulation, intestinal microbiota improving skeletal health, also explored. intricate interactions within pose challenge effective treatments can comprehensively target this system. Furthermore, safety these requires further evaluation. This offers novel insights prevention treatment which have important implications clinical practice patient well-being.

Objectives The clinical efficacy of the use probiotics, prebiotics, synbiotics and postbiotics (biotics) in cats is unknown, despite their daily practice. objectives study to evaluate effectiveness biotic supplementation treating preventing gastroenteropathies, reducing gastrointestinal signs associated with antibiotics cats. Materials Methods A systematic review was conducted by searching four databases for publications before August 2, 2024, following a pre‐registered protocol. Eligible were trials involving healthy or those supplemented biotics (and an inactive control), studying outcomes such as faecal consistency, microbiota vomiting. Risk bias quality reports assessed. Effects synthesised meta‐analyses vote counting based on direction effect. Certainty evidence rated using GRADE approach. Results Twenty included, presenting unclear low risk bias. did not permit high‐confidence evaluation biotics, although five seven probiotic showed beneficial effects consistency. Synbiotics presented no clinically relevant effect antibiotics‐associated vomiting, very certainty, meta‐analysis including 32 adult Probiotics significantly reduce Bacillota/Actinomycetota ratio, 34 young‐adult Following counting, probiotics improved immune profile young cats, increased butyric acid concentration Clinical Significance Current data highlight need further research, especially focused at‐risk groups sick advocating supplementation.
