Abstract
Black
phosphorus
(BP)
is
rediscovered
as
a
2D
layered
material.
Since
its
first
isolation
in
2014,
BP
has
triggered
tremendous
interest
the
fields
of
condensed
matter
physics,
chemistry,
and
materials
science.
Given
unique
puckered
monolayer
geometry,
displays
many
unprecedented
properties
being
explored
for
use
numerous
applications.
The
flexibility,
large
surface
area,
good
electric
conductivity
make
it
promising
electrode
material
electrochemical
energy
storage
devices
(EESDs).
Here,
experimental
theoretical
progress
presented
on
basis
preparation
methods.
structural
physiochemical
properties,
air
instability,
passivation,
EESD
applications
are
discussed
systemically.
Specifically,
latest
research
findings
utilizing
EESDs,
such
lithium‐ion
batteries,
supercapacitors,
emerging
technologies
(lithium–sulfur
magnesium‐ion
sodium‐ion
batteries),
summarized.
On
current
progress,
few
personal
perspectives
existing
challenges
future
directions
this
developing
field
provided.
