Abstract Achieving stable and selective photooxidation of NO x in air remains a significant challenge. Here, the study reports doping strategy using alkaline‐earth carbonates to enhance photocatalytic performance N‐rich carbon nitride (C 3 N 5 ). The BaCO ‐doped C (BaCO /C ) composite demonstrates remarkable removal efficiency ≈60%, surpassing pristine by factors 60 12, respectively. This substantial enhancement is attributed synergistic effects doping, which promotes photogenerated carrier separation transport, improves NO/O 2 adsorption activation, broadens visible‐light responsiveness. Notably, exhibits high selectivity for nitrate (NO ⁻ during ten consecutive cycles, as evidenced situ DRIFTS. Similarly, with CaCO SrCO yields comparable improvements performance. Furthermore, per milligram these composites their effective suppression toxic intermediates surpass those 36 reported C₃N ‐based (X = 4, 5) insulator‐based photocatalysts. work provides valuable insights into design advanced photocatalysts pollution control, offering sustainable pathway mitigating emissions.
