Abstract The development of single‐component white‐light emissive phosphors has become a key research area in white light‐emitting diode (WLED) technology. However, achieving real color reproduction with an ultrahigh rendering index (CRI) remains challenging. Herein, series 0D hybrid copper halides (TEA) 2 Cu Br 4‐ x Cl (TEA = tetraethylammonium, 0–4) crystals are designed and prepared by facile solvothermal method. By controlling the composition ratio − , emission spectra tunable visible light region from blue to yellow, crystal broadband CRI is obtained. Detailed studies on photophysical mechanism demonstrate that unique structure can produce effective self‐trapped excitons (STEs), its dual‐band phenomenon stems two STE states [Cu ] 2− dimer. Moreover, CIE coordinates (0.32, 0.33) approximated pure (0.33, 0.33), making it ideal choice for natural WLED applications. A device fabricated coating this emitter 310 nm UV chip, Ra 95 R9 90. This work provides new design principles developing eco‐friendly white‐emission solid‐state WLEDs.
