Abstract
The
development
of
single‐component
white‐light
emissive
phosphors
has
become
a
key
research
area
in
white
light‐emitting
diode
(WLED)
technology.
However,
achieving
real
color
reproduction
with
an
ultrahigh
rendering
index
(CRI)
remains
challenging.
Herein,
series
0D
hybrid
copper
halides
(TEA)
2
Cu
Br
4‐
x
Cl
(TEA
=
tetraethylammonium,
0–4)
crystals
are
designed
and
prepared
by
facile
solvothermal
method.
By
controlling
the
composition
ratio
−
,
emission
spectra
tunable
visible
light
region
from
blue
to
yellow,
crystal
broadband
CRI
is
obtained.
Detailed
studies
on
photophysical
mechanism
demonstrate
that
unique
structure
can
produce
effective
self‐trapped
excitons
(STEs),
its
dual‐band
phenomenon
stems
two
STE
states
[Cu
]
2−
dimer.
Moreover,
CIE
coordinates
(0.32,
0.33)
approximated
pure
(0.33,
0.33),
making
it
ideal
choice
for
natural
WLED
applications.
