The thin film morphology of double-cable conjugated polymers is critical to the performance single-component organic solar cells (SCOSCs). Here, we explore effect crystallinity on device by varying thermal annealing temperature used during fabrication. Our investigations reveal that a moderate 150 °C optimizes power conversion efficiency in SCOSCs. Although higher temperatures leads increased crystalline order, decrease observed, attributed imbalanced carrier transport and charge recombination. Additionally, progressive open-circuit voltage these with increasing linked augmented non-radiative losses, stemming from increase crystallinity. This study underscores necessity achieving delicate optimization microstructure order maximize SCOSCs, while also delineating prospective avenues for refining molecular design processing bolster cell performance.
