Abstract This work reports the first compound containing both a tetrazole and an azasydnone ring, unique energetic material. Several salts of were synthesized characterized, leading to creation new secondary primary explosives. Molecular structures are confirmed by 1 H 13 C NMR, IR spectroscopy, X‐ray crystallographic analysis. The high heats formation, fast detonation velocities, straight‐forward synthesis azasydnones should capture attention future energetics research.
