Abstract Fluoride based lattice is attractive for reducing phonon‐induced quenching in rare‐earth (RE) luminescent materials. However, due to the strong affinity between RE and oxygen, synthesis of fluoride‐based complexes has be protected under anhydrous conditions, many known fluoride bridged clusters are unstable air. Here, by using “mixed‐ligand” strategy a family synthesized, namely 16 ( μ 4 ‐F) 6 3 12 t BuCOO) 18 [N(CH 2 CH O) ] (RE = Eu, EuFC‐16; Tb, TbFC‐16), which highly stable air decomposed thermally only when heating above 435 °C. Moreover, both exhibit high photoluminescence quantum yields (PLQY EuFC‐16 87.7%, PLQY TbFC‐16 99.0%). Upon warming, display excellent structural, thermal, chroma stability. Thus, have potential used light‐emitting diode (LED) devices, offering advantages over commercial phosphors. First, soluble UV‐curable resin at any mixing rate, emission colors can tuned from magenta, turquoise, willow green, ivory pure white if blue phosphor BAM:Eu 2+ . Second, hydrophobic, LEDs work well after soaking water, indicating good quality outdoor lighting.
