In

work,
two
zero-dimensional
(0D)
metal
halide
hybrids
L2ZnBr4
[1,

were
prepared,
which
demonstrated
photochromism
photoinduced
cracking.
Upon
irradiation
at
450
nm,
a
single
crystal-to-single
crystal
transformation
occurred
as
result
of
the
[2
+
2]
photocycloaddition
L.
Interestingly,
compared
to
complete
in
1,
only
two-thirds
monomers
could
be
photodimerized
2
because
difference
orientation.

shows
reversible
photochromic
behavior
including
rapid
response
time,
few
cracks,
high
conversion
rate,
good
reaction
reversibility,
while
exhibits
no
significant
color
change
but
distinct
cracking
large
local
lattice
strain
induced
by
inhomogeneous
anisotropic
deformation.
Moreover,
results
shift
photoluminescence

Abstract
Applying
the
orthogonal
principle
for
distinguishable
second
near‐infrared
(NIR‐II)
emissions
has
brought
new
dimensions
ratio
fluorescence
imaging
(RFI)
detection
and
information
encryption,
deepening
tissue
depth
improving
signal‐to‐noise
security.
However,
NIR‐II
underlying
these
advanced
optical
applications
have
been
reported
only
in
heterogeneous

Herein,

nm)
nanoparticles
(ONNPs)

developed
by

excitations.

ONNPs

demonstrate

on
wavelength‐dependent
attenuation
properties
