Tert-butyl phenolic antioxidants (TBP-AOs) are employed to inhibit oxidation and function as stabilizers protectants in a broad spectrum of consumer products, such food packaging, adhesives, lubricants, plastics, cosmetics. The extensive utilization TBP-AOs results human exposure through various pathways. Furthermore, some have been identified potential endocrine disruptors may cause liver lung damage, well allergic reactions. Considering their varied applications toxicity, detailed evaluation safety profiles is imperative. However, existing research often segmented tends focus narrowly on specific compounds. Consequently, this review collates recent data regarding production, exposure, incorporating different databases prior studies, predictions toxicity using ADMET. Our strives offer comprehensive overview the characteristics health effects guide future inform policy decisions.
