Construction
of
π–π
stacking
supramolecular
complexes
with
more
than
two
different
components
is
challenging
due
to
the
weak
and
directionless
nature
dispersion
interactions.
Here,
we
report
ternary
a
ditopic
nanographene
tetraimide
(1),
α-substituted
phthalocyanine
(Pc),
polyaromatic
hydrocarbons
(PAHs)
in
solution
crystalline
state
via
allosteric
regulation.
Binding
one
Pc
gives
rise
significant
distortion
conformational
changes
1
that
turn
lead
inhibition
second
binding
Pc.
The
associated
first
allowed
an
third
component
form
solution.

NMR
titration
revealed
moderately
high
thermodynamic
stability
for
CDCl3.
Competition
between
allosterically
regulated
([Pc·1·PAH])
1:2
stoichiometric
binary
PAHs
([PAH·1·PAH])
