Abstract As organic semiconductor materials gain increasing prominence in the realm of photocatalysis, two carbon‐nitrogen materials, poly (heptazine imide) (PHI) and (triazine (PTI), have garnered extensive attention applications owing to their unique structure properties. This review elaborates on distinctive physical chemical features PHI PTI, emphasizing formation mechanisms ensuing Furthermore, it elucidates intricate correlation between energy band structures various photocatalytic reactions. Additionally, outlines primary synthetic strategies for constructing along with characterization techniques identification. It also summarizes enhancing performance whose advantages are discussed. Finally, highlights promising prospects challenges PTI as photocatalysts.

Abstract Ionothermal synthesis method often results in significant structural defects the prepared crystalline carbon nitride due to insufficient penetration of molten salt. Herein, a strategy involving addition foaming agent (NH₄Cl) precursor is adopted, which significantly enhances salt during ionothermal nitride. This more uniform internal unit and fewer detrimental (terminal amine groups hydrogen bonds formed by these groups) transformation from triazine‐heptazine mixed phase heptazine phase. improvement enables photocatalyst, upon loading cocatalysts, maximally utilize photogenerated electrons holes, establishing smooth pathway for surface protonation electron‐proton coupling. The show that photocatalytic production rate reaches 8.67 mmol g −1 h exhibits high apparent quantum efficiency 22.1% (λ = 400 nm) evolution. study elucidates relationship between crystal structure process. It also reveals impact factors on perspectives carrier behavior reaction kinetics.

This paper describes a NaPHI-catalyzed oxytrifluoromethylation of olefins under photoirradiation. The reaction is applicable for the synthesis α-trifluoromethyl ketones, which could be structurally elaborated into an array useful scaffolds. Mechanistic studies suggested that photoexcited NaPHI* facilitate formation singlet 1O2 through EnT process, thus enabling difunctionalization with trifluoromethyl radical and oxygen anion species.
