One-Step/One-Pot Crystallization-Driven Co-Self-Assembly Strategy toward Controlled Preparation of π-Conjugated-Polymer-Containing Three-Dimensional Nanostructures

Three-dimensional
(3-D)
π-conjugated-polymer-containing
nanostructures
of
well-controlled
composition/dimension
exhibit
promising
applications
in
fields
from
nanomedicine
to
microelectronics.
However,
it
remains
a
great
challenge
easily
and
efficiently
prepare
hierarchical
3-D
controlled
manner.
In
this
work,
we
develop
one-step/one-pot
strategy
generate
flower-like
containing
core
numerous
uniform
nanofibers
protruding
the
central
by
crystallization-driven
co-self-assembly
OPE9-b-P2VP56
[OPE
=
oligo(p-phenylene
ethynylene);
P2VP
poly(2-vinylpyridine);
subscript
represents
degree
polymerization]
poly(styrene
sulfonic
acid)
(PSS)
with
direct
heating–cooling
protocol.
It
is
disclosed
that
hydrogen
bonding
interactions
between
pyridyls
−SO3H
units
PSS
not
only
accelerated
aggregation
unimers
but
also
led
intermicellar
initially
formed
micelles
driven
solvophobic
effect
complexes
P2VP/PSS
domains
upon
cooling.
Subsequently,
continued
deposit
exposed
ends
give
nanostructures.
By
variation
content
mass
ratio
OPE9-b-P2VP56,
length
number
can
be
regulated.
More
importantly,
remained
active
toward
unimer
deposition
for
further
micellar
elongation
afford
segmented
diblock
nanofibers.

Hyper-cross-linked
polymers
(HCPs)
have
demonstrated
great
potential
for
capture,
catalysis,
drug
delivery,
and
energy
storage
attracted
extensive
research
interest.
Nevertheless,
tuning
their
nanoscale
morphology
remains
a
challenge.
Herein,
we
constructed
series
of
HCPs
(HCP[HaPb])
with
various
morphologies
(nanospheres,
nanorod-like,
flower-like
nanostructures)
by
controlling
the
molar
ratios
monomers
hexakis(benzylthio)benzene
quality.
In
addition,
HCP[H200P3]
rich
nitrogen
sulfur
atoms
showed
fast
adsorption
rate
high
capacity
I3–
in
aqueous
media.
The
reached
98%
within
5
min
at
liquid/solid
ratio
1
mL
mg–1,
saturated
1.388
g
g–1
was
obtained
30
mg–1.
Additionally,
flow-through
experiments
revealed
that
an
impressive
removal
flow
1.0
min–1.
More
importantly,
could
selectively
capture
presence
competing
anions.

adsorbent
