Abstract The pursuit of enhanced engineering properties and multifunctionality in ceramic materials has long been a critical research focus, driven by the need to expand their applications across diverse industries. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), distinguished exceptional structural versatility, including ultrahigh specific surface areas, tunable porosity, customizable compositions, have recently enormously explored for improving mechanical materials. This review highlights advantages recent advancements leveraging MOFs architectures engineer advanced Specifically, roles as sacrificial templates/precursors reinforcement phases high‐energy nanoceramic powders well functional components realize multifaceted functionalities were examined. Furthermore, showcases cutting‐edge MOFs‐integrated composites emerging domains, such electromagnetic wave (EMW) absorption, seawater desalination filtration, gas adsorption separation.
