ABSTRACT A salamo‐type bis‐oxime ligand H 2 L was synthesized, which reacted with Ni (NO 3 ) ·6H O in different reaction solvents to synthesize two novel heptanuclear (II) complexes: [Ni 7 (L) ( μ ‐OH) 8 (EtOH) 6 ]·2CH Cl 1 and ‐OMe) (MeOH) ]·CH ). X‐ray crystal diffraction results showed that each ion exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry. Its uniqueness lies the fact Complex not only coordinates units but also ethanol solvent molecules water participating bridging. is composed of methanol connected together. Interestingly, coordination mode due solvents. The energy gap changes ligand, its complexes were then explored by DFT calculations. In addition, influence weak interaction force confirmed through in‐depth study electrostatic potential, IRI, freedom analysis, Hirshfeld surfaces analyses, important for explaining formation sites supramolecular structures. UV‐visible spectrometric titration tests binding ratios ions are all 3:7, consistent structure. Finally, fluorescence characterization studies both exhibited reduced compared L.
