In order to solve the problems of long dissolution and preparation time, cumbersome preparation, easy moisture absorption deterioration during storage or transportation, acrylamide (AM), acrylic acid (AA), sodium p-styrene sulfonate (SSS), cetyl dimethylallyl ammonium chloride (DMAAC-16) were selected as raw materials, emulsion thickener P(AM/AA/SSS), which can be instantly dissolved in water rapidly thickened, was prepared by reversed-phase polymerization method. DMAAC-16, influence emulsifier dosage, oil–water ratio, monomer molar aqueous pH, initiator reaction temperature, other factors on experiment explored a single-factor experiment, optimal process determined follows: volume ratio 0.4, dosage 7% oil phase mass, 0.03% total mass system, time 4 h, temperature 50 °C, pH 6.5, 30% system (monomeric n(AM):n(AA):n(SSS):n(DMAAC-16) = 79.2:20:0.5:0.3). X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric (TGA), scanning electron microscopy carried out products. At same series performance test experiments such thickening performance, shear resistance, salt sand suspension core damage fracturing fluid flowback reuse evaluate comprehensive effect efficiency synthetic products, results show that P(AM/AA/SSS/DMAAC-16) polymer had excellent solubility properties resistance.
