The increasing demand for sustainable materials in the coatings industry is driving replacement of synthetic components with bio-based alternatives. In this study, Tagua powder, derived from seeds Phytelephas macrocarpa, was incorporated as a filler waterborne acrylic-based coating to evaluate its effects on abrasion and protective properties. Two different particle size ranges (40–63 µm ≤40 µm) concentrations (1 wt% 3 wt%) were tested. Morphological analyses confirmed homogeneous dispersion within matrix, larger particles inducing surface roughness. results demonstrated that addition powder significantly improved resistance, containing µm), reducing mass loss by 24.5% after 1000 Taber cycles compared reference coating. However, due lignocellulosic nature, increased water uptake, leading decrease barrier Coatings exhibited reduction electrochemical impedance modulus approximately one order magnitude 670 h immersion 3.5 NaCl solution, indicating lower corrosion protection. Despite this, performance filiform resistance remained comparable reference, suggesting does not critically affect adhesion These findings highlight potential functional filler, offering enhanced mechanical durability while requiring strategic design, such multilayer system, mitigate moisture sensitivity. This study provides valuable insights into development environmentally friendly wear resistance.

Achieving the energy and climate goals of sustainable development, declared by UN as imperative relevant for upcoming Society 5.0 with its human-centricity technological requires ensuring a “seamless” Fourth Energy Transition, preserving but at same time modifying role fossil fuels in economic development. In this regard, purpose review is to analyze structure publications field platforms future (Energy 5.0), digital human-centric modernization investment fuel extraction context Transition. To achieve goal, presents comprehensive overview research determining prospects within 5.0, characterized not only dominance renewable sources zero CO2 emissions, also introduction technologies Industry (the Industrial Internet Everything, collaborative artificial intelligence, triplets). It was concluded that further such areas development vector investment, achieving reducing emissions mineral extractive sector itself, developing capture utilization important promising
