Sweeteners have been widely added to food and beverages due their low-calorie sweetening properties. However, the role of sweeteners in cancer risk has a subject extensive debate over past few decades. We aimed elucidate causation between commonly used natural sweetener erythritol lung (LC) using Mendelian randomization (MR). Data on its metabolites were obtained from publicly available genome-wide association studies data. Summary data LC subtypes large-scale genetic study conducted by Transdisciplinary Research Cancer Lung International Consortium Cohort Consortium. independent two-sample MR analyses assess subtypes. The inverse variance weighted method analysis showed no evidence supporting or histological Sensitivity further supported results. Our findings do not support
