ABSTRACT Saffron ( Crocus Sativus L.) is a highly prized spice crop renowned for its significant culinary and therapeutic applications, largely attributed to bioactive constituents such as crocin, picrocrocin, safranal. Despite production severely threatened by corm rot, particularly caused the pathogenic fungus Fusarium oxysporum , which leads substantial yield losses in major saffron‐producing regions. This review highlights promising role of microbial consortia an eco‐friendly sustainable strategy effectively managing rot disease. The presence diverse communities can improve defense mechanisms plant against pathogens support overall growth productivity. these interactions occur, including nutrient competition, biofilm formation, activation systemic resistance, contribute their combined efficacy inhibiting fungal pathogens. necessity innovative strategies that harness benefits microorganisms mitigate saffron cultivation sustainably. As agricultural practices increasingly gain prominence, development application tailored gave alternative chemical fungicides, ensuring both economic viability ecological balance production.

Abstract This study aimed to investigate the dissipation pattern, risk assessment, and waiting period of myclobutanil on apple fruit ( Malus domestica Borkh.) under temperate conditions in Kashmir, India. The involved application 10 WP at a single recommended dosage (125 g a.i. ha −1 ) double (250 Red Velox trees, 2 months before harvest. GC equipped with an electron capture detector was used analyze residues samples. revealed that myclobutanil, both doses, dissipated rapidly became nondetectable after 55 60 days, respectively. for determined be 12.41 days dose 25.58 dose, These periods were based maximum residue limit 0.6 ppm as prescribed by Codex Alimentarius Commission, Food Safety Standards Authority India, European Commission. concludes is safe consumers doses when applied Risk considering average daily consumption India theoretical contributions (TMRCs), indicates negligible health hazards even dosage. calculated TMRC values Day 0 significantly below permissible intake. For found 0.0069 0.0070 mg day person 0.0105 0.0106 , results indicate according dosages periods, poses minimal risks consumers. emphasizes importance prudent fungicide use minimize fruits, thereby ensuring their safety consumption.
