Developmental lead (Pb) exposure results in a variety of cognitive deficits and behavioral issues including increased antisocial behavior aggression. This study investigated the effect developmental Pb on aggression violent male rats potential modulatory influences quality maternal care enriched/non-enriched housing conditions. Long-Evans with or without (perinatal early postnatal) from low high mothers (based amounts licking/grooming arched-back nursing) were randomly assigned to live enriched non-enriched environments at weaning. At postnatal day 120-190, offensive was assessed using resident intruder test. Clinch attack (CAK) frequency latency, occurrence biting events observed determine behavior. Both perinatal Pb-exposed significantly more aggressive showed behavior, compared non-Pb-exposed animals, regardless level environmental enrichment. High lowered proportion animals short CAK latencies events. These suggest that may potentially modify expression life exposure.
