Although digital transformation has aroused the interest of scholars and practitioners, how to reach a win-win situation between economic carbon performance in context neutrality not been well addressed. Based on organizational information processing theory, this study investigates affects via low-carbon operations management practices (LOMP) moderating role CEO ambivalence. We test research hypotheses using hierarchical regression analysis by collecting data from 297 Chinese manufacturing firms. Our results reveal that all three dimensions LOMP mediate impact performance, products performance. In addition, ambivalence weakens impacts LOMP. The findings extend literature provide theoretical guidance for managers achieve goals development reduction.

Abstract This paper seeks to shed light on the relationship between firm digitalization and likelihood of launching sustainable innovations (social environmental, social only, environmental only), for which extant research has provided a paucity evidence. In detail, role is considered in terms (i) specific effect given digital technology (DT)—among artificial intelligence, cloud computing, robotics, smart devices, big data analytics, high speed infrastructure, blockchain—and (ii) concurrent adoption multiple DTs (degree digitalization). Furthermore, assesses if how degree moderated by implementation sustainability practices, as two issues are often treated independently. Research questions proposed instead hypotheses. Econometric analysis answer based sample 14,125 firms, whose information gathered from survey Flash Eurobarometer 486. Results reveal that each DT differently affects innovations, while always beneficial. Moreover, it appears practices not complementary. All all, this helps illuminate current representations interplay digitalization, at level, with implications research, managerial practice, policymaking.
