Abstract The environmental and economic benefits of adopting a circular economy (CE) approach could be significant for firms. CE packaging constitute fundamental binomial our economy, yet there are still few studies the advantages food value chains, especially in wine sector. Therefore, this paper, we address research gap by measuring performance business model (CBM) industry as reference. We apply combination Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) Costing (LCC) methods to small Italian winemaking firm, which implements strategy through take‐back refurbishment components. Results show that implementing sustainable CBM, firm can reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from 8 90% save 6 63% its costs.
