In order to achieve environmental sustainability within the tourism industry, it is vital understand components that encourage sports tourists behave in an environmentally friendly way. However, approach by which aspects affect tourists’ behavior not well studied, particularly mediating role of attitudes toward sustainable practices. Employing norm activation model (NAM), this study addressed how consciousness, values, and knowledge influence practices mediate these relationships promoting behavior. The data were gathered from 302 participants utilizing purposive sampling analyzed employing structural equation modeling (SEM). This study’s results revealed a positive association between knowledge, Interestingly, relationship consciousness was found be insignificant. addition, mediated effect underlines translating values into actual behavior; hence, development important for encouraging eco-friendly behaviors among tourists. These findings provide theoretical practical insights practitioners formulating strategies would responsibility industry.
