Abstract While sustainable innovation practice is encouraged in enterprises belonging to the manufacturing sector for reducing their carbon footprint and mitigating negative ecological impacts, there a lack of empirical evidence regarding effects innovation. Hence, this study attempts investigate influence on stakeholder engagement societal impact. Additionally, study, an attempt made bring forth insights into mediation moderation SE, anticipatory governance, respectively. Based analysis cross‐sectional data from 456 Chinese individuals, our results, using partial least square structural equation modeling, reveal significant influences impacts. Furthermore, though partially mediates innovation–societal impact relationship, by governance innovation–stakeholder relationship. These findings provide invaluable insight policymakers China set regulations incentives that will allow birth sustainability industries.

Purpose Based on social exchange and resource dependence theories, this research investigates how manufacturing firms’ commitment to low-carbon operations management (CLCOM) prompts carbon performance (MCP) through supply chain collaboration (SCC), as well the moderating role of risk (SCRM). Design/methodology/approach This study verifies hypotheses employing hierarchical regression analysis bootstrapping methods an online survey 297 Chinese manufacturers. Findings The results demonstrate that manufacturers’ SCC mediates influence affective continuance CLCOM MCP. SCRM dampens link between SCC. Further, heightens relationship CLCOM–low-carbon with suppliers, but does not enhance level customers. Originality/value contributes theory practice area by unveiling “black-box” CLCOM–MCP considers SCRM’s effect.

ABSTRACT This study examines the interaction among proactive career behavior, self‐directed learning, and long‐term sustainability as a response to challenges higher education students face in Egypt. Specifically, it assesses relationship between proactivity sustainability, with self‐regulated learning acting an intermediating construct grounded conservation of resources theory. To empirically test assumptions, authors gathered 373 valid responses from Egyptian used partial least squares structural equation modeling for analysis. The evidenced that positively impacts sustainability. This study, grounded in the resource-based view theory, explores interplay between organizational policies (OP)–independent, sustainable technologies and innovation (STI)–mediator, stakeholder concerns (SC)–moderator, firm environmental performance (FEP)–dependent construct. By employing a quantitative approach with survey questionnaire, study samples 331 valid responses, data is analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings support positive relationships among variables; STI acts as mediator, while SC serves moderator relation OP FEP. These have major implications for organizations aiming to bolster their performance. It recommended that enhance by actively supporting sustainability fostering innovation. research underscores importance of holistic approach, advising firms include sustainability, innovation, engagement strategies more resilient environmentally responsible future.
