Abstract Pancreatic cancer is a highly malignant digestive system tumor with poor prognosis. Most pancreatic patients are diagnosed at an advanced stage or even metastasis due to its aggressive characteristics and lack of typical early symptoms. Thus, diagnosis crucial for improving Currently, screening often applied in high‐risk individuals achieve the cancer. Fully understanding risk factors pathogenesis could help us identify population timely treatment Notably, accumulating studies have been undertaken improve detection rate different imaging methods diagnostic accuracy endoscopic ultrasound‐guided fine‐needle aspiration (EUS‐FNA) which golden standard diagnosis. In addition, there currently no biomarkers sufficient sensitivity specificity be clinic. As only serum biomarker approved by United States Food Drug Administration, carbohydrate antigen 19‐9 (CA19‐9) not recommended used because limited specificity. Recently, increasing numbers focused on discovering novel exploring their combination CA19‐9 Besides, application liquid biopsy involving circulating cells (CTCs), DNA (ctDNA), microRNAs (miRNAs), exosomes blood urine, saliva drawing more attention. Furthermore, many innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence, computer‐aided system, metabolomics technology, ion mobility spectrometry (IMS) associated technologies, nanomaterials tested shown promising prospects. Hence, this review aims summarize recent progress development methods, including imaging, pathological examination, serological biopsy, well other potential strategies

Pancreatic cancer is the deadliest disease, with a five-year overall survival rate of just 11%.The pancreatic patients diagnosed early screening have median nearly ten years, compared 1.5 years for those not screening. Therefore, diagnosis and treatment are particularly critical. However, as rare general cost high, accuracy existing tumor markers enough, efficacy methods exact. In terms diagnosis, artificial intelligence technology can quickly locate high-risk groups through medical images, pathological examination, biomarkers, other aspects, then lesions early. At same time, algorithm also be used to predict recurrence risk, metastasis, therapy response which could affect prognosis. In addition, widely in health records, estimating imaging parameters, developing computer-aided systems, etc. Advances AI applications will require concerted effort among clinicians, basic scientists, statisticians, engineers.Although it has some limitations, play an essential role overcoming foreseeable future due its mighty computing power.

Cancer is among the leading causes of death worldwide. Early diagnosis and prognosis are vital to improve patients’ outcomes. The gold standard tumor characterization tissue biopsy. Amongst constraints biopsy collection sampling frequency incomplete representation entire bulk. Liquid approaches, including analysis circulating cells (CTCs), DNA (ctDNA), miRNAs, tumor-derived extracellular vesicles (EVs), as well certain protein signatures that released in circulation from primary tumors their metastatic sites, present a promising more potent candidate for patient follow up monitoring. minimally invasive nature liquid biopsies, allowing frequent collection, can be used monitoring therapy response real time, development novel approaches therapeutic management cancer patients. In this review we will describe recent advances field markers focusing on advantages disadvantages.

Biosensors based on graphene field effect transistors (GFETs) have the potential to enable development of point-of-care diagnostic tools for early stage disease detection. However, issues with reproducibility and manufacturing yields sensors, but also Debye screening unwanted detection nonspecific species, prevented wider clinical use technology. Here, we demonstrate that our wafer-scalable GFETs array platform enables meaningful results. As a case study high relevance, an accurate robust portable GFET biosensor pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in patients' plasma through specific exosomes (GPC-1 expression) within 45 min. In order facilitate reproducible blood plasma, optimized analytical performance biosensors via application internal control channel test protocol. Based samples from 18 PDAC patients 8 healthy controls, arrays could accurately discriminate between two groups while being able detect cancer stages including 1 2. Furthermore, confirmed higher expression GPC-1 found concentration was average more than magnitude samples. We these characteristics cancerous are responsible increase number target surface graphene, leading improved signal response biosensors. This holds great promise tool rapid diagnosis cancer.

Abstract Small non-coding RNA or microRNA (miRNA) are critical regulators of eukaryotic cells. Dysregulation miRNA expression and function has been linked to a variety diseases including cancer. They play complex role in cancers, having both tumour suppressor promoter properties. In addition, single can be involved regulating several mRNAs many miRNAs regulate mRNA, therefore assessing these roles is essential better understanding cancer initiation development. Pancreatic leading cause death worldwide, part due the lack diagnostic tools limited treatment options. The most common form pancreatic cancer, ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), characterised by major genetic mutations that drive progression. regulation interaction with driving suggests strong link between two. Understanding this PDAC progression may give rise novel treatments tools. This review summarises PDAC, downstream signalling pathways they in, how being used studied as therapeutic targets well prognostic/diagnostic improve clinical outcome PDAC.

Background: Early-onset pancreatic cancer (EOPC) in younger populations (age ≤50 years) is likely to be a more aggressive phenotype characterized by poor differentiation. The emerging analysis of the global burden EOPC limited and outdated. Aim: To systematically investigate trend based on populations. Methods: In this systematic Global Burden Diseases, Injuries, Risk Factors Study (GBD) 2019, authors present number cases, age-standardized rates (ASRs) per 100 000 population, risk factors for 204 countries territories. average annual percentage changes (AAPCs) incidence, mortality, disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) were calculated using joinpoint regression analysis. Results: According GBD 2019 estimates, there 36 852 new cases 32 004 related deaths. East Asia had highest with 11 401 incidences 10 149 ASRs 0.94 individuals incidence 0.81 mortality. From 1990 increased 46.9%, mortality 44.6%, DALYs 41.9% globally. analysis, (AAPC, 1.26), 1.24), 1.25) showed an increasing pattern. Africa, America, exhibited continuous upward trend, while Europe was fluctuating. Asian males fastest growth 2.15) 2.13), whereas Americas experienced slowest increase 0.72) deaths 0.67). Integrating socio-demographic index (SDI), initially rising SDI, reaching peak central (1.5 <ASRs <2.0 000), decreased further SDI 2019. Conclusions: findings offer valuable insights into distribution magnitude burden. at rapid pace worldwide, particularly Asia, notably eastern Europe.
