In the context of tourists’ eco-friendly consumption behavior, this study examines effects materialism and cardinal variables in norm activation model (NAM; i.e. awareness consequences, ascription responsibility, moral norms) on green purchase behavior. Using an online structured questionnaire, useable data was collected from 405 tourists, structural equation modeling SmartPLS 3.0 performed to examine relationships. The results showed that negatively affected consequences norms but did not affect responsibility. Interestingly, environmental degradation significantly Further, mediated Thus, integrates with NAM makes a novel contribution adjoining literature literature. role as external locus-of-control predict consumption, along subsequent managerial implications, are discussed further.

E-scooters have emerged as a popular micromobility option for short trips, with many cities embracing shared e-scooters to enhance convenience travelers and reduce reliance on automobiles. Despite their rising popularity, there is lack of clear understanding how user preferences adoption practices vary by location. This study aims explore non-user attitudes towards e-scooter use in diverse urban settings. A meta-analysis data from three surveys (N = 1197) conducted Washington, D.C., Miami, FL, Los Angeles, CA, was performed compare users profiles, mode choice factors, use. Additionally, machine learning (ML) SHAP (SHapley Additive exPlanations) analysis were utilized identify influential factors predicting each city. The results reveal that the majority are 25 39 age, male, higher income bachelor’s degree, 92% possess driver’s license. Significant differences between non-users highlight complexity perceptions usage. ML model indicates employment status negatively impacts prediction users, while such living without car using non-motorized modes positively influence Educational background significant factor D.C. whereas attitudinal questions technology usage Angeles. These findings provide valuable insights into shaping adoption, informing transportation planning policymaking enhancing its impact mobility.
