Hydrosilylation of alkenes is an industrially important catalytic reaction for producing organоsilanes. This process often based on the homogeneous Pt-catalysts. Given high cost platinum and its irretrievable "scattering", new approaches that can reduce consumption are goal in modern chemistry. Heterophase (biphase) systems hydrosilylation offer additional advantages terms activity, product separation, recycling. However, large-scale synthesis heterophase conditions complicated by constrained mass heat transfer. To address these challenges, we have developed a microfluidic system hydrosilylation, using our previously proposed sustainable convenient-to-handle Pt/EG-catalytic (EG – ethylene glycol). The droplet regime improves transfer while being compatible with laboratory spectral diagnostics. Using combination online Raman diagnostics offline characterization, provide insights into improved rates inside thin capillaries, effects catalyst dilution, variation activity upon aging work summarized several key methodological aspects implementation microfluidics catalysis: generation, guiding, time-resolved monitoring. We demonstrated application 3D-printed reactors compact design units 3D-complex topology. These results open perspectives scaling automation biphasic reactions.
