Diabetes remains one of the most prevalent chronic diseases globally, significantly impacting mortality ratetables. The development effective treatments for controlling glucose level in blood is critical to improve quality life patients with diabetes. In this sense, smart optical sensors using hydrogels, responsive external stimuli, have emerged as a revolutionary approach diabetes care. study, changes properties hydrogel are employed monitoring α-glucosidase activity, enzyme involved mellitus type II due its role breaking terminal α-glycosidic bonds, releasing α-glucose. encapsulated within triazine-based that exhibits intrinsic blue fluorescence. Upon hydrolysis substrate p-nitrophenyl-α-D-glucopyranoside (p-NPG) by α-glucosidase, fluorescence quenched release p-nitrophenol (PNP). However, when exposed potential antidiabetic drugs, enzyme's activity inhibited, and hydrogel's intact. This ON/OFF fluorescence-based assay enables rapid screening drug candidates evaluating their ability inhibit enzymatic activity. Sensor optimization involves conducting swelling studies, fluorescent assays, reusability tests trial real drug. innovative holds enhancing management, offering more accessible efficient solution compared traditional biosensors.

This article presents a method for synthesizing polymer composite based on the interaction of PVA and HNa isolated from coals Shubarkol deposit (Karaganda, Kazakhstan). The study focuses macromolecular aspects formation matrix structure effect natural modifier properties composite. Taking into account concept design, addition small additives (2–10%) significantly changes nature intermolecular interactions in solution, promoting accelerated structuring network. is manifested decrease gelation time, which confirmed by kinetic analysis relative viscosity systems. It was found that greatest increase achieved fifth day with content 10% pH = 7, which, day, indicates critical concentration necessary stable spatial network hydrogen bonds ion-dipole between functional groups HNa. Morphological studies using AFM showed an leads to significant smoothing surface, indicating more homogeneous dense structure. These are due reorganization architecture under influence modifying additives. adsorption characteristics were estimated maximum sorption capacity, 3.40 mmol/g Cu(II) ions. results emphasize targeted control at level allows creation polymeric materials specified physicochemical effective wastewater treatment heavy metals. demonstrates potential design as tool development composites improved performance environmental significance.
