Abstract
Two
tri‐
and
two
hexadentate
poly‐Lewis
acids
(PLAs)
with
calyx‐like
structures
of
C
3
symmetry
containing
aluminum‐
boron‐containing
Lewis
acidic
functions
were
prepared
by
tin‐metal
exchange
reactions.
The
triply
hydrosilylated
[12]annulene
served
as
basic
framework.
It
forms
a
structure
the
stereo‐
regioselective
attachment
three
SiMeCl
2
groups
to
planar
[12]annulene.
PLA
precursors
generated
attaching
or
six
trimethylstannylethynyl
silicon
atoms.

Abstract
A
tridentate
trimethylstannyl
substituted
alkyne
based
on
the
tribenzotriquinacene
(TBTQ)
scaffold
has
been
transformed
into
several
gold(I)phosphane
complexes
by
tin‐gold
exchange.
While
molecular
structures
of
gold(I)
derivatives
with
less
bulky
trimethyl
and
dimethylphenylphosphane
ligands
exhibit
intermolecular
aurophilic
interactions,
sterically
demanding
triphenylphosphane
inhibit
occurrence
Au⋅⋅⋅Au
contacts.
In
addition,
a
hexanuclear
system
was
synthesised
terminal
functionalisation
hexaalkynyl
TBTQ.
Investigations
photophysical
properties
TBTQ
compounds
revealed
their
luminescent
character
at
room
temperature.
