Comprehensive Summary 1‐Indenones commonly occur in many bioactive and material molecules, thus their highly efficient synthesis attracts much attention from the synthetic community. In this manuscript, we reported an method for preparation. This reaction used ortho ‐vinyl carboxylic acids as starting took place through intramolecular vinyl C–H acylation with carboxyl group. By strategy, a wide range of 1‐indenones, including both 3‐substituted 2,3‐disubstituted ones, were precisely synthesized high yields. Moreover, featured functional group tolerance. addition, could be scaled up without any decrease efficiency. We anticipate new will find applications organic synthesis.
