Abstract Loneliness has detrimental physical and mental health outcomes. To date, there are few studies on loneliness interventions in lower‐resource settings. Based participatory action research methods that theoretically informed by the social relationship expectations framework, we developed a intervention called amanane using photovoice method with older Myanmar migrants northern Thailand. The aim of our study was to test feasibility preliminary effectiveness as an for lonely adults. Loneliness is a public health epidemic in the United States (US), with older adults being vulnerable to experiencing loneliness. Predictors of loneliness are less understood among racial/ethnic groups US adults, and few studies have included perceived institutional discrimination (PID), stressful life events (SLE), neighborhood characteristics (PNC) as antecedent stressors diverse adult samples.
