The COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a lapse routine health care and cancer screenings for many individuals. This study sought to improve our understanding of the impact on women being treated breast cancer, both general, specifically related their diagnosis.Semi-structured interviews were conducted between August 2021 February 2022 with who receiving neoadjuvant chemotherapy early-stage at Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center Columbus, Ohio. Interviews recorded transcribed verbatim. Transcripts coded using deductive dominant thematic analysis inductive coding that allowed categorization data as well identification emergent themes.Data collected from 19 revealed posed important challenges patients including fear infection feelings isolation. Most interviewees noted they had been vaccinated against because desire protect themselves others getting sick. Some also expressed concerns about having delayed screening mammograms due pandemic. Several described unexpected positive aspects such able spend more time family ability continue working option work home during treatment. Our findings provide insight patients. We highlight positives have reported pandemic, need address screening.

Breast cancer poses a significant global health challenge and includes various subtypes, such as endocrine-positive, HER2-positive, triple-negative. Endocrine-positive breast cancer, characterized by estrogen progesterone receptors, is commonly treated with aromatase inhibitors. However, resistance to these inhibitors can hinder patient outcomes due genetic epigenetic alterations, mutations in the receptor 1 gene, changes signaling pathways. Radiogenomics combines imaging techniques like MRI CT scans genomic profiling methods identify radiographic biomarkers associated resistance. This approach enhances our understanding of mechanisms metastasis patterns, linking them specific profiles common sites bone brain. By integrating radiogenomic data, personalized treatment strategies be developed, improving predictive prognostic capabilities. Advancements technologies offer promising avenues for enhancing research. A thorough crucial developing effective strategies, making radiogenomics valuable integrative medicine that aims improve clinical patients metastatic endocrine-positive cancer.
