Terpenoids are the broadest and richest group of chemicals obtained from plants. These plant-derived terpenoids have been extensively utilized in various industries, including food pharmaceuticals. Several specific identified isolated medicinal plants, emphasizing diversity biosynthesis functionality terpenoids. With advances technology sequencing, genomes certain important plants assembled. This has improved our knowledge regulatory molecular functions with functions. In this review, we introduce several notable that produce distinct (e.g., Cannabis sativa, Artemisia annua, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Ginkgo biloba, Taxus media). We summarize specialized roles these plant-environment interactions as well their significance pharmaceutical industries. Additionally, highlight recent findings fields regulation mechanisms involved biosynthesis, propose future opportunities terpenoid research, biology seeding, genetic engineering

Marine microorganisms often produce exopolysaccharides with novel structures and diverse biological activities due to their specific marine environment. The active from have become an important research area in new drug discovery, show enormous development prospects. In the present study, a homogeneous exopolysaccharide fermented broth of mangrove endophytic fungus Penicillium janthinellum N29, designated as PJ1-1, was obtained. results chemical spectroscopic analyses showed that PJ1-1 galactomannan molecular weight about 10.24 kDa. backbone composed →2)-α-d-Manp-(1→, →4)-α-d-Manp-(1→, →3)-β-d-Galf-(1→ →2)-β-d-Galf-(1→ units partial glycosylation at C-3 unit. had strong hypoglycemic activity vitro, evaluated using assay α-glucosidase inhibition. anti-diabetic effect vivo further investigated mice type 2 diabetes mellitus induced by high-fat diet streptozotocin. indicated markedly reduced blood glucose level improved tolerance. Notably, increased insulin sensitivity ameliorated resistance. Moreover, significantly decreased levels serum total cholesterol, triglyceride low-density lipoprotein enhanced high-density cholesterol alleviated dyslipidemia. These revealed could be potential source agent.
