Abstract Oxidative dehydrogenation (OD) of amines involves the elimination two protons and electrons ─(2H + 2e) that results in transformation ─CH─NH─ to ─C═N─ moiety. A variety coordinated transition metal ion, including iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, ruthenium, rhodium, iridium, also rare earth metals undergo OD reaction. The reaction occurs mainly under a basic medium presence air/O 2 , which is green oxidant. ions play significant role They can participate redox reactions as an internal oxidant influence deprotonation ─NH function form amido intermediate, crucial for amines. Not only that, photosensitized ion or metal‐stabilized ligand‐centered radical activates O promote This review presents occurred explore fates . study reveals along with oxidation state other factors like potential M n /M ( −1)+ geometry complex, coordination mode ligand, substituents on co‐ligands, steric crowding OD. different spectroscopies, single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction, employed reactions, are interpreted.

Abstract Metal complexes with multidentate ligands are frequently used as model compounds to shed light on the (bio)‐inorganic chemistry of H 2 S. Zinc bearing salen‐type ONNO different bridging groups particularly relevant in this respect. Here, we describe use zinc sulfur‐analogues S‐donors replacing either neutral nitrogen donors or anionic oxygen atoms classical salen ligands. In addition, studied a hexadentate cyclic ligand, four sulfur and two oxygens. Having coordinative pockets ligand is able form bimetallic complex. We report how environments explored influence stability their abilities related hydrosulfide species.

This study sought to investigate the synthesis of eight complexes constituted by a cobalt(III) (CoIII) metallic center coordinated two units iminic ligands LnC (n = 1–4, L1C–L4C), which are derivatives pyridoxal hydrochloride and anilines with thioether function containing one four carbons. Depending on source cobalt ion addition (or not) non-coordinating counterion, distinct structures may form, being categorized into series: [CoIII(LnC)(L0C)] C1’–C4’) ligand that has thiolate cleaves C-S(thioether) bond (L0C) [CoIII(LnC)2]PF6 C1–C4) similar same ligand. The occurrence cleavage in was observed elucidating solid-state single crystal X-ray diffraction. exciting method allows CoIII without cleaving C-S bonds from ligands, thereby not requiring an inert atmosphere reaction systems. synthesized were evaluated silico calculations viable biological targets such as deoxyribonucleic acid, superoxide dismutase enzyme, human serum albumin, structural spike glycoprotein severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) receptor binding domain (RBD) both up down conformations complex cellular angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE2). Overall, results suggested all inorganic under potential anticancer/antiviral agents; however, C4 C4’ best candidates for future vitro assays.

Abstract Sometimes unusual redox chemistry and modulation of enzyme activity Cu‐proteins can be encountered by the presence a trace amount Cu−Tris interaction (Tris‐(hydroxymethyl) aminomethane) during vitro studies. Herein, we addressed Cu II −Tris with variable stoichiometric ratios in ascorbic acid (H 2 A) O . The Bs3 (Cu : Tris; 1 3) H A/O was passed through several intermediates progress on time yielding initially yellow precipitate, (Yp3), then green solution, (Gs3) finally cyan solution (Cs3). UV‐Vis spectra Bs3, Gs3 Cs3 displayed peaks at 640, 690 710 nm respectively suggesting potential /Cu I were −0.18 V, −0.15 V −0.19 (vs. Ag/AgCl) respectively. EPR spectrum showed an axial signal g ∥ , ⊥ =2.483/2.105&A =160×10 −4 cm −1 whereas rhombic 1,2,3 =2.302/2.063/2.018&A =177×10 =2.274/2.064/2.016&A =164×10 distorted tetragonal geometry. ESI−MS data indicated probable composition Bs2‐Bs5, solution. Integration all spectroscopies demonstrated mechanism.
