This paper addresses a novel, green, and sustainable method to construct new C–S P–S bonds by cleaving the S–S bond in pyrimidine disulfide under various conditions. The first alkoxylation phosphorylation of are effectively accomplished this approach. Compared methods reported, approach provides more benefits, including utilization eco-friendly solvents, straightforward procedure, mild reaction conditions, high atomic efficiency, broad range applicable substrates. As result, we were able synthesize variety phosphorothioate lipids with potential applications. Furthermore, series control experiments as well theoretical calculations performed work produce deeper insights transfer mechanism.
