This paper proposed a novel amplifying damping transfer system (ADTS) as new enhancement solution for high-rise structures like wind turbines. The ADTS can the upper rotation of turbine tower to its bottom with amplification mechanism. Hence, viscous damper be installed on turbines in very convenient and efficient way. dynamic characteristics equipped were parametrically investigated concerning influence damping, stiffness, position based complex frequency analysis. It was found that each mode has maximum ratio, which is affected by stiffness position. optimal first about 0.7 H (turbine height), positions second are at 0.3 0.86 H. considerably attenuated both drift acceleration responses caused winds earthquakes. For example, compared optimized tuned mass damper, further decreases displacement (acceleration) 22% (38%).

Due to its simple and beautiful architectural appearance, the stress‐ribbon bridge (SRB) has been gradually built around world as a pedestrian or traffic bridge. However, characterized by low bending stiffness damping ratio features, SRB is prone dynamic effects of external excitations, such pedestrians, vehicles, and/or winds. To control vertical vibration SRB, rail‐damper system proposed in this study. In scheme, rotation handrails triggered flexural deformation utilized drive viscous dampers installed between adjacent handrails. The governing equations are established. key design parameters their influences on properties systematically investigated. performances further investigated through an numerical model subjected excitations. It discovered that can offer considerable supplemental structural modes reasonable design, achieving satisfactory performances. gain excellent effect real applications, nondimensional rail no less than 1000 recommended, damper should be controlled small possible.
