Abstract Composite films made of polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) filled with various coronene concentrations were fabricated via the solution casting method. Several characterization techniques used to examine prepared samples. The x-ray diffraction study shows decreasing semi-crystalline properties in PVA/coronene composites increasing levels, thereby improving charge carrier mobility and enhancing conductivity. alterations chemical functional groups explored using Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). impact molecules on optical characteristics PVA was investigated spectral ranges 190-2500 nm. composite exhibits higher UV blocking 190-400 nm wavelength range, suitable for notch filters like laser filters. By filling ratio from 0 wt% 3 wt%, both indirect direct band-gap decreased 5.19 eV 5.77 3.85 5.18 eV, respectively. single oscillator model (Wemple-DiDomenico) explain refractive index dispersion region. extracted values energy (E d ), o dielectric constant at infinite frequency ( ε ∞ lattice L ) samples increased 0.78 2.41 1.32 1.41 13.44 12.22 2.10 2.13, These changes parameters are due cross-linking between polymeric matrix coronene. As a result these improvements, could be applied flexible packaging applications optoelectronic devices solar cells or light-emitting diodes.
