ABSTRACT This study investigates the morphological characteristics, pigment production, antimicrobial activity, and toxicity of secondary metabolites from filamentous cyanobacterium Phormidium sp. PB21, isolated freshwater ecosystems. The strain demonstrated significant potential for bioactive compound as evidenced by its chlorophyll‐ a carotenoid production. Chlorophyll‐ levels increased at 0.071 mg/mL day 24, reflecting robust photosynthetic while content reached maximum 1.6 under controlled conditions, highlighting pigment‐based applications. Antimicrobial assays using methanol: chloroform (1:3) crude extracts revealed inhibition human pathogens, including Serratia (12 mm) Pseudomonas aeruginosa (11 mm), with minimum inhibitory concentrations low 15.6 µg/mL specific fractions. Toxicity assessment Artemia salina indicated dose‐dependent effects, LC 50 values 93 82 fractions 3 4, respectively, suggesting natural agents. gas chromatography‐high‐resolution mass spectrometry analysis sample identified key compounds, decanoic acid, 5‐acetoxytridecane, 1‐undecanol, based on their characteristic m/z values. These compounds exhibit antimicrobial, anti‐inflammatory, pharmacological properties, sample's promising therapeutic industrial findings emphasize biotechnological particularly in production
