Sesame seeds ( Sesamum indicum ) are considered valuable for their nutritional qualities and wide range of uses in several sectors the global economy. Bioactive substances such as lignans, phytosterols, γ‐tocopherol, phenolic acids, flavonoids, tryptophan which have strong anti‐inflammatory, lipid‐lowering, antioxidant properties present them. In addition, sesame contribute to human health by offering vital elements like protein, unsaturated fatty vitamins, minerals. The bioavailability these nutrients has been enhanced recent developments processing technologies agricultural methods. Apart from food industry, also being used extensively pharmaceutical, cosmetic, industrial sectors, manufacturing biodiesel animal feed. This review highlights potential contribution sustainable systems compiling most research on makeup, advantages, variety uses.
