For each kilogram of food protein wasted, between 15 and 750 kg CO2 end up in the atmosphere. With this alarming carbon footprint, waste not only contributes to climate change but also significantly impacts other environmental boundaries, such as nitrogen phosphorus cycles, global freshwater use, land composition, chemical pollution, biodiversity loss. This contrasts sharply with both high nutritional value proteins, well their unique physical versatility, which enable use new materials innovative technologies. In review, we discuss how can be efficiently valorized by reintroduction into chain supply a template for development sustainable technologies allowing it exit food-value chain, thus alleviating some most urgent challenges. Ample amounts of by-products are generated from the oil industry. Among them, sunflower oilcakes have potential to be used for human consumption, thus achieving concept sustainability and circular economy. The study assessed nutritional composition seeds, cold-pressed remaining press-cakes with aim its valorization as a food ingredient. Sunflower contains principally oleic (19.81%) linoleic (64.35%) acids, which cannot synthetized by humans need assimilated through diet. seeds very nutritive (33.85% proteins 65.42% lipids 18 mineral elements). Due rich content lipids, they source vegetable oil. Compared richer in fibers (31.88% 12.64% samples form pellets cake, respectively) (20.15% 21.60%), balanced amino acids profile. (15.77% 14.16%) is abundant unsaturated fatty (95.59% 92.12%). comparison between three products showed presence valuable components that makes them suitable healthy diets an adequate intake nutrients other bioactive compounds benefic effects.

Sunflower is an important crop that susceptible to various diseases, which can significantly impact yield and quality. Early accurate detection of these diseases crucial for implementing appropriate management strategies. In recent years, deep learning techniques have shown promising results in the field disease classification using image data. This study presents a comparative analysis different deep-learning models sunflower diseases. five widely used models, namely AlexNet, VGG16, InceptionV3, MobileNetV3, EfficientNet were trained evaluated dataset images. The performance each model was measured terms precision, recall, F1-score, accuracy. experimental demonstrated all achieved high accuracy values classification. Among EfficientNetB3 exhibited highest 0.979. whereas other ALexNet, InceptionV3 MobileNetV3 0.865, 0.965, 0.954 0.969 respectively. Based on analysis, it be concluded are effective highlight potential early classification, assist farmers agronomists timely Furthermore, findings suggest like could preferred choices due their relatively fewer training epochs.

The distribution of total soil nitrogen (TSN) and phosphorus (TSP) plays a pivotal role in shaping quality, fertility, agricultural practices, environmental balance, especially ecologically sensitive regions like the North-Western Himalayas (NWH). primary objectives this study were to contribute clarify impact rationale various land uses on spatial variation TSN TSP corresponding soils. This aimed explore relation NWH soils with factors landscape physiography physical chemical properties using random sampling geostatistical analyses. Employing sampling, 300 surface samples (at depth 0–20 cm) collected across 500 m × grids from agriculture, horticulture, forest fallow lands region. heterogeneity systematically analyzed standard statistical approaches (Gaussian, spherical, exponential, linear). Results revealed decreasing order levels i.e., horticulture (0.410 0.723 mg/kg) > agriculture (0.314 0.597 (0.236 0.572 (0.275 0.342 mg/kg). Stepwise multiple regression results demonstrated correlation between organic carbon (SOC), while was correlated (SOC) fine-grained particles. Nugget % values indicated following variability for TSN: (1.4) horticultural (3.2) (3.9) (4.8) mixed (5.8), whereas showed similar trend all uses. optimized conceptual framework isotropy models varied dependence use type. patterns use-related variations improved prediction nutrient distribution, so contributing an future studies.
