This
study
employed
the
model
of
stigma
communication
(MSC)
to
analyze
how
exposure
COVID-19-related
information
affected
stigma-related
sharing
about
people
who
contracted
COVID-19
during
pandemic
and
examined
cognitive
process
MSC
in
a
collectivist
culture.
Based
on
survey
526
social
media
users
China,
found
that
contact
tracing
control
had
different
impact
through
series
variables.
A
dual-path
showed
perceived
personal
risk
influenced
attribution
blame
toward
infected
(the
path),
while
protection
norm
conformity
path).
Compared
path,
path
is
more
salient
shaping
stigmatized
attitudes
behaviors.

findings
