Diabetes mellitus, a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by hyperglycemia, presents formidable global health challenge with its associated complications. Adiponectin, an adipocyte-derived hormone, has emerged as significant player in glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity. Beyond effects, adiponectin exerts anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidative, vasoprotective properties, making it appealing therapeutic target for mitigating diabetic The molecular mechanisms which impacts critical pathways implicated nephropathy, retinopathy, neuropathy, cardiovascular problems are thoroughly examined this study. In addition, we explore possible treatment options increasing levels or improving downstream signaling. multifaceted protective roles of complications suggest potential novel avenue. However, further translational studies clinical trials warranted to fully harness the management This review highlights promising diverse encourages continued research pivotal area diabetes therapeutics.
