During the COVID-19 lockdown in China, shift of family members’ work and study to online platforms accelerated internet proliferation led a growing prominence addiction among younger age groups, posing threat individual societal health development. Previous research has primarily focused on upper-grade elementary students, with relatively less attention given resulting insufficient representativeness student samples. Additionally, exploring how parental addictive behaviors are associated mechanisms students been limited, which affects development scientifically based effective intervention measures for addressing this population. This study, grounded Family Systems Theory, explores associative between smartphone dependence students’ addiction, specifically examining mediating role parent–child conflict moderating roles. Using convenience sampling method, questionnaires were administered parents from two schools, 433 valid responses. Abstract Background Mental, physical, and social well-being have an impact on sleep quality. University students are vulnerable to problems due academic pressure coupled with psychosocial problems. Aim This study aimed investigate quality identify its associated factors among university in Malawi. Method A cross-sectional was conducted using data collected from 984 across 13 institutions (private public) standardized questionnaire administered via Google Forms, assessing demographic factor variables. Descriptive statistics, Chi-square tests, logistic regression analyses were used explore examine possible associations between poor various factors. Results The revealed that 28.9% of experienced Gender (p=0.039) suicidal thoughts (p<0.001) significantly sleep. results analysis showed that, influence bad (p<0.001). However, not influenced by age, year study, level gender (p>0.05).
