Abstract Background Systemic inflammation and frailty have been implicated in osteoporosis (OP) fracture risks; however, existing evidence remains limited inconclusive. This study aimed to assess the associations of systemic phenotype with incident OP evaluate mediating role phenotype. Methods The present analysed data from UK Biobank, a comprehensive representative dataset encompassing over 500 000 individuals general population. Baseline peripheral blood cell counts were employed calculate markers, including neutrophil‐to‐lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet‐to‐lymphocyte (PLR) immune‐inflammation index (SII). Frailty was assessed using five criteria, defined as frail (≥3 items met), pre‐frail (1–2 met) non‐frail (0 met). events confirmed through participants' health‐related records. Aim Aortic aneurysm is characterized by localized expansion and damage to the vessel wall. While apolipoprotein B (ApoB) has been linked atherosclerosis, its causal relationship with aortic remains unclear. This study used a Mendelian randomization (MR) approach explore relationships between ApoB, aneurysm, potential mediators. Material methods Single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) data related A1 (ApoA1), triglycerides, frailty index, were obtained from large-scale genome-wide association studies. MR analysis was conducted evaluate relationships, using inverse variance weighting (IVW) as primary statistical method. Additionally, we assessed whether index mediates ApoB aneurysm. Results Univariate revealed that significantly associated (IVW odds ratio (OR) = 1.443, 95 % confidence interval (CI) 1.273–1.637, p < 0.001). Multivariable (MVMR) analysis, adjusted for ApoA1 confirmed these results. In mediation found partially mediate effect of on (mediation contribution: 20.1 %–23.1 %). The ORs respect 1.325 (95 CI 1.168–1.505) 4.188 1.859–9.435), respectively. Conclusion acting partial mediator in this pathway.

Chronic inflammation plays a pivotal role in the development of frailty patients with cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Systemic inflammatory response index (SIRI) has been shown to reflect overall status. This study aimed investigate relationship between SIRI and older CVD, develop nomogram for predicting risk this population. A total 234 CVD were included. Inflammation markers derived from routine blood tests, status was assessed using FRAIL scale. Clinical laboratory characteristics compared or without frailty. Multivariate logistic regression employed identify significant variables inclusion nomogram. The performance nomogram, including its discrimination calibration, rigorously evaluated. 98 cases assigned group 136 non-frailty group. Patients generally younger, more likely have normal kidney function, better pressure control. Frail exhibited higher degree systemic non-frail (P < 0.05). Age, LDL-C identified as three independent factors potential patients. Therefore, we constructed clinical model based on age, SIRI. had considerable discriminative calibrating abilities. In summary, our demonstrated association elevated levels markers, particularly SIRI, an increased Furthermore, by integrating established predict CVD.

ABSTRACT Fragility fractures are a significant concern among people living with HIV(PLWH) due to the combined effects of chronic inflammation, immune dysregulation, and antiretroviral therapy. Traditional biomarkers have limited predictive value for fragility in this population. This study aims evaluate systemic inflammation‐based scores as novel predicting PLWH China.
